I am two months into Invisalign treatment and I was perfectly fine until my orthodontist did IDT (“polishing”) on my teeth. One day after the procedure I got my regular cleaning from my dentist and the day after that, all of a sudden, one of my teeth started having that rotten smell in between it. I am prompt with my flossing and brushing because I am on a timer due to the Invisalign, spend double the time that I used to flossing and only eat twice a day, rinse with salt water, and even put Listerine in my Waterpik per my ortho’s recommendation and do that twice a day, but I still have that stinky smell! It comes and goes and is less severe but I’m worried that I might have a bigger problem on my hands. I really, REALLY don’t want to go to my dentist again. Any advice???
